The NR550 router is supplied with 4 x Cellular antennas which are the elbow jointed, blade type 5G Antenna. We recommend that you use these as the primary antenna for your NR550 5G Router.
If you are installing the router inside a metal cabinet, for example a comms cabinet, then the RAPID NR550 is supplied with optional magnetic mount antennas which can be positioned on top of the cabinet, and the cables can run down into the cabinet and connect to the 4 x antenna ports of the router.
If you have the NR550 router installed indoors, but have a poor 4G or 5G network signal indoors, but have a much better 5G signal outdoors then you may want to consider using an outdoor antenna. We have listed below our recommendations for alternative 5G antennas to use with the Proroute NR550 5G Router.
We will start with the 4×4 MiMo 5G Antennas because the Proroute RAPID NR550 router has four cellular antenna ports. This is because the NR550 5G router supports 4×4 MiMo for the 5G connection. This ensures the fastest possible speeds for both 4G and 5G Internet connectivity.
By using the RAPID NR550 with a 4×4 MiMo Antenna you have the best chance of ensuring optimum performance for your router.
In the main, these 4xx4 MiMO 5G Antennas would normally be installed outdoors where you have a better 5G network signal and the cables would run indoors and connect to your router. The exception to this is the Panorama DWMM4-6-60-5SP antenna which can also be used indoors, usually in a window on the side of the house facing the 5G mast you wish to connect to.
